Ritver paints & coatings was founded In the late 50’s of the 20th century under a joint venture between RAR Holding and Italian manufacturers in Bologna – Italy, providing the world market with a complete range of high quality paints & coatings such as Wood finishes, Industrial, Decorative, Powder coalings, Construction chemicals, Car paints, Glass paints, Glues and Adhesives.
This type of joint venture has helped the company reach an enhanced experience in research and development and fostered specific skills while exponentially increasing the company’s overall years of experience.
In the year 2000, RAR Holding decided to expand its business in the Gulf area specifically in the United Arab Emirates and built a modern and fully automated production plant.
Ritver brand equity expanded in the area and its annual production capacity exceeded 30,000 tons. Ritver’s aggressive expansion plan pushed it to invest in an ultra-modem Powder Coatings plant in Lebanon and has quickly become a market leader in the Middle East region.
Our resilience that was developed over the past decades has given us excellent motives to be confident in achieving our objectives. We believe that a good plan would always lead to tangible results.
Ritver’s main competitive edge has been and always will be its human capital which is constituted by an experience team of managers and scientists from 23 different nationalities and share one goal in common; how to reinvent the paints and coatings industry.

Ritver specializes in the manufacturing and marketing of Wood Coatings, Decorative Paints, Protective and Industrial Coatings, Construction Chemicals, Car paints and Adhesives.

Most importantly, Ritver is a customer oriented firm that not only works hard to satisfy customer needs but expands to proactively listens to its customers and builds its strategy accordingly.
Ritver has now established factories in 9 countries in Europe, the Middle East and African regions. Its annual production capacity has been exponentially increasing with the aggressive expansion plan.
Ritver senior production team has set a five years renovation plan of all factories to become fully automated f rom raw material warehouse to finished goods warehouse going through the already automated production and packaging facility. All of this has been developed while carefully looking at safety and environmental considerations.
Ritver has already been granted numerous production and process certificates notably ISO standards. Its automated tinting system has also allowed to produce more than 150,000 colors.
Ritver production team is composed of 18 different nationalities and is centralized under the supervision of a Chief Production Executive that is located in Dubai who ensures that the processes and procedures are unified and controlled globally. Ritver plants produce more than 500 different items and can customize any product according to customer needs.
Keeping one eye on consistency and another on flexibility our IT infrastructure is able to support a large operations of both mass production and small customized orders.
Our ultimate strategy is to be able to vertically integrate up to 70% of raw material production while currently we have been able to reach 60% through the production of our own Resins and solvents.
Ritver has adopted a ‘Resilience’ strategy for its supply chain division. In fact, recent studies has shown that this strategy enthances the company’s ability to cope with change. This strategy was mainly adopted due to the aggressive expansion plan that the company has undertaken and the senior management team along with the CEO have realized that the company needs an evolved version of the traditional, place- centric enterprise structure model.
Therefore, Ritver has adopted a highly virtualized, customer- centric structures that enable our people to work anytime, anywhere.
From our different factories and geographical locations, our resilient supply networks follow four levels:
